Why use an operating system?

An operating system brings powerful benefits to computer software and software development. Without an operating system, every application would need to include its own UI(user interface), as well as the comprehensive code needed to handle all low-level functionality of the underlying computer, such as disk storage, network interfaces and so on.

The primary goal of an operating systems is to make the computer system convenient to use in an efficient manner.

A secondary goal is to manage the resources of a computer system.

Operating System:Operating System is a set of master programs, designed to control the entire operation of a computer. An operating system or OS is a software program that enables the computer hardware to communicate and operate with the computer software. Without a computer operating system, a computer and software programs would be useless.

When computers were first introduced, the user interacted with them using a command line interface, which required commands.
